| CHILDREN'S MUSIC |
| CHERUB CHOIR is for children ages three years through
Kindergarten. The Cherubs enjoy learning about the Bible and exploring their faith through
lots of singing, music, and musical games. They meet together during the Sunday School
hour and again during the Wednesday night program time for kids. The Cherub Choir sings
regularly in Sunday morning worship services. |
SETTLE'S ANGELIC MUSICIANS is for children in grades
1-5. The S.A.M. Choir rehearses on Wednesday nights during the children's program time. In
addition to singing a wide variety of age-appropriate anthems and songs, they also learn
to play basic percussion instruments and have access to three octaves of handchimes.
S.A.M. performs regularly as a part of morning worship, they stage at least one musical
drama every year, and they ride atop Settle's float in the annual Christmas Parade. |
INJoy BELLS is for children grades 1-3. These
youngsters rehearse on the first and third Sundays during the school year. They use the
"Krystal Bell" method -- a color-coded introduction to handbell ringing that
requires no reading and ensures immediate success and satisfaction

YOUTH MUSIC |
| SOLI DEO SINGERS is open to all youth, grades
6-12. This high-energy ensemble performs a variety of vocal music, blending
contemporary and traditional styles. They routinely add instrumentation to
their choral sound, using the rainbow of talent within the youth group. Not
only does the Youth Choir perform during Sunday morning services, but also
vocal and instrumental soloists from the group frequently bring a moment of
music ministry to these worship celebrations. Currently, Soli Deo rehearses on Sunday afternoons
during the school year. ENTHEOS RINGERS, our youth handbell
ensemble, is also open to all youth. They frequently ring as a part of
morning worship or combine with other groups for special musical
presentations. They rehearse on Sunday afternoons during the school
year.
MIRIAM'S DAUGHTERS is a liturgical dance ensemble comprised of
young women, many of whom currently study dance. They prepare both
solo and group numbers, choreographing much of the dance themselves.
Their rehearsal schedule varies as they prepare new material to share in
worship services.

| ADULT MUSIC |
| SANCTUARY CHOIR is open to all adults and
youth. The Sanctuary Choir performs weekly during the Sunday morning services and provides
special music throughout the year. Of special significance are the annual Christmas and
Lenten cantatas, combining the choir with a variety of instrumentalists and dramatists.
The choir is also often asked to participate in special District and Conference events of
the United Methodist Church in Kentucky. The Sanctuary Choir rehearses on Wednesday
evenings after the weekly program hour. |
SERENDIPITY HANDBELL CHOIR is
open to all adults. Building on over 25 years of experience, this ensemble continues
its tradition of excellence in English Handbell ringing. They perform
regularly in worship as a solo choir and as accompanists for soloists and
choirs alike. The Serendipity bells rehearse on Sunday evenings.

THE JOURNEYMEN AND WOMEN'S ENSEMBLES are open to
men and women of all ages. They perform unison, two, three and four-part
music, both accompanied and a cappella. They enjoy a rich fellowship and
prayer life together in addition to their musical harmonies. They regularly
bring music to Sunday morning and evening services, and they frequently
receive invitations to sing for functions outside the church. Consult the
church calendar for rehearsal dates and times. |
| Solo Music Members and guests of
Settle memorial frequently join our Sunday services as guest artists, bringing their
special music ministry. Solo vocalists, choral groups, keyboardists, guitar and other
instrumentalists and ensembles add much to our worship each week. If you have a special
music ministry to share, speak with the Minister of Music about your desire to
participate. |
SANCTUARY
ORCHESTRA is a multi-generational ensemble open to musicians of all
ability levels. This group meets seasonally as we prepare for
Christmas and Lenten/Easter specials. This group has also performed
for other special events and the Kentucky Annual Conference meeting.

| God's Troubadours is dulcimer-centered instrumental
group whose primary purpose is to "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord" Psalm
100. They play music for our homebound friends. This group is open to anyone
who plays the dulcimer, banjo, violin, cello, hammered dulcimer, guitar,
recorder, harmonica--you name it! They also encourage beginners to join.
God's Troubadours rehearse every Wednesday evening from 6:15-7:15. For more
