Registration for the 2012-13 school year will begin on February 1 for
members of Settle Church and current students. General
registration will begin on February 15,

MEMORIAL PRESCHOOL
Settle Memorial Preschool has been an exciting place of learning for
over 50 years. Our goal is to provide your child with a wonderful
learning experience where their mind, body, and spirit develop to their
fullest potential.
Our staff is a group of dedicated, professional
teachers who work hard to provide each child with a high quality
education where they can learn at a high level.
Our school is a licensed preschool through the state
of Kentucky. Each staff person is a member of Early Childhood
organizations such as SECA, AECA, and NAEYC.
CURRICULUM
Settle Memorial Preschool has a curriculum designed
to meet the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the
preschool-aged child. Each class is designed to be developmentally
appropriate for that age. We believe that children learn through various
play activities including free play, dramatic play, centers which
encourage fine and gross motor skills, as well as incorporating math,
science, language arts, social studies, foreign language, and music in
their daily activities. This is all to attain kindergarten readiness.

Dear Parents,
Below you will find the 2012-13 registration
forms for the Preschool Program. Below is the list of
class offerings for next year as well as the age requirements for each
class. All children must be potty trained BEFORE they begin our
program. If you have any questions concerning the registration
process please contact the school.

Preschool is open from 8:30am until 11:30am. After
School is available one to five days a week, and may be used on the days
your child has been enrolled for Preschool. Children must by 3 by
April 1, 2012 in order to attend the After School Program. You must use the
separate After School registration form to enroll your child in the
After School program.
All applications will be reviewed. Every reasonable
effort will be made to assign your child to the class of your choice.
However, we cannot make any guarantees. Your child will be placed in the
class most appropriate for his/her age group ability as stated with the
birthdates listed above. You will be informed of your child’s class
status as soon as possible (usually after Spring Break).
We reserve the right to cancel any class not having
full enrollment. Please be assured this will be done as a last resort
only, and the decision will be made as quickly as possible. In the event
a class cancels, you will be contacted immediately. At this time, a
decision will be made as to which class your child will be reassigned
to.
Upon entrance to preschool the Cabinet of Human
Resources requires a current immunization certificate to be kept on
file. The record must be on a signed and dated Commonwealth of Kentucky
Certificate from a doctor’s office or the Health Department. Nothing
else is acceptable. This certificate must be turned in to the Director
by the first week of school. Even if your child is currently enrolled in
the Preschool their immunization certificate may not be up to date in
August. Also, if your child’s immunization form is not from Kentucky you
will need to take it to a Kentucky Health Department and have it
converted to the paper form.
All children attending the After School program MUST bring lunches
that meet state regulations daily. All children attending the
After School program MUST be able to wake-up from a nap dry.

Upon receipt of this registration form, plus a $75.00 non-refundable
registration fee for Preschool and a $30.00 registration fee for After
School, your child will be enrolled in Settle Memorial Preschool.
(All children must be completely potty trained to attend).
Preschool Fees:
All fees at Settle Memorial Preschool are based on a
yearly rate and then are divided into 10 monthly payments. Payments will
be made August through May for both Preschool and After School.
***Please note that the monthly tuition fee will also
include the supply fee. The supply fee is used for ALL supplies for the
classrooms as well as a Preschool book bag and insurance. Parents are
not asked to purchase any supplies such as paper, crayons, scissors,
etc.

After School Letter Regarding Registration
Dear Parents,
The Settle Memorial Preschool provides an extended
care program for children who are enrolled in our Preschool and are age
three by April 1, 2012. This Program is limited to 36 children per
day and is filled on a first come, first served basis. The
registration forms will be numbered as they are received and filled in
that order.
The following are a list of policies for the After School Program:
1. Your child must be three by April 1, 2012.
2. Only those children who are registered at the
beginning of the school year will be able to attend. No drop-ins
will be allowed.
3. If you register you must use the After School
room on a regular basis or you will forfeit your spot to a child on the
waiting list.
4. The regular monthly fee for the days you
registered for must be paid even if your child misses days or leaves at
an earlier time.
5. Those who fall more than 30 days behind in
After School Payments will forfeit their spot to a child on the waiting
list.
6. Children are not permitted to leave After
School and then return later the same day.
7. All children must
be completely potty trained. They must be able to wake up dry from
nap time. No Exceptions!
8. Children must be picked up no later than
5:30p.m. A late fee will be charged for late pickup. A child who
is picked up late regularly will forfeit their spot in the program.
9. All children must bring a lunch that meets
state requirements each day they attend. No Exceptions.
The After School room is open from 11:30a.m. - 5:30p.m. To register
for the After School Program please use the registration form
specifically for After School found below this letter. If you have question you may contact the
Preschool Office.

Upon receipt of the registration form and a $30.00 non-refundable

Program at Settle Memorial Preschool. If there is no room you will be
notified immediately and placed on a waiting list. In order to
